    Here is a tinted CDV of an unidentified Union Army sergeant, who most likely served with a New Jersey regiment. The CDV has a backmark from the photography studio of Henry C. Aller (B: 1841, D: 1889) at "City Hall and 29 1/2 State St." in Trenton, Mercer County, N.J. The Sergeant's chevrons, buttons, cheeks, and hair are all tinted.
