    Description

    For Sale:
    A functional & tested AN/PSM-2 Insulation Test Set commonly known as a "Megger".  The AN/PSM-2A is a self-contained, portable test set designed to measure insulation resistance.  The unit will measure insulation resistance from 0 to 1000 megohms.  The unit uses an internal hand generator to generator the necessary voltage drop for measurement.  Generally used to prevent loaning or losing an expensive TDR performing field work.  In the right hands it can determine shorts in cables and leakage to ground.
    Condition:
    Ex-military in good condition.  Tested with a 1 megohm load and the unit measured correctly.  We have not been able to find a manual so do not know when or how the indicator lamps are supposed to be used.
