    Description

Antique Civil War ID'd Confederate double-armed Soldier with his Rifle-Musket & large Colt or Remington Pistol Tintype. Has a uniform coat, slouch hat and small oval gold-tinted buckle belt plate.  1/6 plate full case.
Old ink id inside reads: George Leak (?) A.E. 5-1 Taken Dec. 27/61(1861) M. (married?) Stelia Schott A.E. 10-5.  Not sure what the numbers mean , but a great research project.
Case is complete and all there - does have some wear, binding is a tad weak and has a chip in back, but still in nice shape.  The brass frame does have breaks (see pics), but doesnt detract.  The image, sadly, is slightly over or underexposed which made it dark and mottled.  Looks to have been shellacked at one time also.  I took photos with both flash and non-flash, but it is what it is -plz see pics and bid accordingly.  You are going to get a great id'd CS soldier for a fraction of the cost.    Happy Bidding!
